This savory smokey Chicken Chili Crock Pot recipe will have your mouth-watering as it slowly cooks in your crock pot. Perfect for game day, as this can be made the night before and reheated or 8 hours before or 4 hours before. This healthy recipe is super simple to throw together and yet it creates a perfect medley of smokey but sweet chicken taco style chili. Serves 10

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp of Reduced Sodium Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tsp of All Natural Hickory Liquid Smoke
  • 1 tsp of Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp of Ancho Chile Pepper
  • 4 tsp of low sodium Taco Seasoning
  • 1 cup of Hunts Tomato Sauce
  • 2 3/4 cups of diced tomatoes
  • 2 3/4 cups of black beans, liquid drained
  • 2 3/4 cups of kidney beans, liquid drained
  • 5 4 oz skinless chicken breasts, frozen

Directions:

Place the beans, and the tomatoes in the crock pot first with 2 tsp of the low sodium taco seasoning.

Then place the chicken breasts into the crock pot and coat everything with the remaining 2 tsp of taco seasoning, ancho chile pepper and smoked paprika. Stir to coat evenly.

Add the liquid smoke and Worcestershire sauce and then stir in the tomato sauce.

Be sure to mix everything before covering the crock pot. Place on High for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.

Once cooked, take two forks to help you shred the chicken.

Serve with your favorite kind of cheese or low-fat sour cream and enjoy!
